Our Journey, Presence & Vision

Our History

Founded in Austria as Silena Vertriebsgesellschaft GmbH, our journey began in 1987 with a strong foundation in radiation detection and measurement technology. Initially representing the Italian manufacturer SILENA, we quickly established ourselves as a key player in the industry.

In 1994, with the shift to a new principal supplier – Canberra Industries, Inc. – we adopted the name CANBERRA PACKARD Central Europe GmbH. This marked a major step forward, expanding both our technological capabilities and international partnerships. Since then, we’ve consistently grown our product range and reputation throughout Europe.

Regional Presence & Expertise

Today, we operate from ten local offices across Central and Eastern Europe, including Austria, Poland, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, and more. This regional network allows us to provide hands-on service, faster response times, and in-depth local knowledge tailored to each market’s needs.

Our highly skilled teams combine technical expertise, regulatory understanding, and a strong customer-first mindset. This proximity to our clients not only builds trust but also ensures seamless communication and project implementation across all locations.
